Happy Wednesday!
According to my email stats, just over 80% of you are based in the U.S. as you can see in this graphic:
And while these stats aren’t always accurate, it means that about 4 out of every 5 of you and your fellow readers is likely celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow.
Regardless of where you call home, I’d like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and tell you once again how grateful I am that you’re willing to spend a few minutes reading my thoughts each week.
As I’ve shared before, I selfishly write these weekly letters for myself.
But I appreciate each and every one of you as well.
While I never hear from most of you, and that’s cool, many of you:
reply to my emails to share a thought or a reaction.
share another article you think I might enjoy.
pick up the phone and give me a call.
schedule a meeting via my website.
I always love hearing from you and welcome any and all of your feedback, thoughts, suggestions, critiques, and anything else you’re willing to share.
Many of you have told me you occasionally share these emails with friends, family, coworkers, and others.
I appreciate that as well.
Today, I invite each of you to hit reply and share a sentence or two (or more) about what you’re most thankful for as we head into this holiday season.
As for me, I’m thankful for Elizabeth. And for Winnie.
For my Mom, my Dad, my Stepmom, my 2 brothers, and my sister.
I’m thankful for Elizabeth’s entire family.
All our nieces and nephews.
For my friends. For my colleagues.
For organizations like Georgia Eye Bank and Angels Among Us.
For my health.
For music. Definitely thankful for music 🎵
For books, essays, podcasts and other content.
And for soooooooo much more.
Including YOU… I’m genuinely thankful for you!
I’m a lucky man, and though I don’t always express my gratitude to the people in my life, I recognize how blessed I truly am.
Whether you’re celebrating “turkey day” or not, I hope you take a moment to tell the people in your life just how much they mean to you and how thankful you are to know them.
As I include in the closing of each of these weekly letters, “I’m glad you’re here. And I’m grateful to have you as a reader.”
Thank you 🙏
Back to our regular weekly email letter next week…
